I still love Baylie Brown - I still want to know where I can buy her album. She's just got that something special and she's only 16 years old. And even the judges told her she was very good - a few of the other contestants gave her a standing ovation. I hope she makes it to the top 24.
Ashlyn Carr, the teen who made all the crazy faces when she sang and who was arrested for putting sugar in her ex-boyfriend's gas tank, gets booted. I'm OK with that, as I think most of America will be. She just barely made it to Hollywood, anyway, so it's no big surprise to see her go.
Sarah Burgess, the girl who lied to her father about where she was so she could audition for "Idol," is also cut. A little sad - would have been nice to see her fulfill a dream, but she's so young - she's got plenty of time still to get better.
But Porcelana Patina!!!! My girl!!! The "American Idol" soldier, the one who worked out like crazy to prepare for her audition, doesn't make it either. It's really unfortunate that they don't let us see at least a second or two of the performances, so we could at least judge it for ourselves. I was so looking forward to watching her craziness evolve into something wonderful. I hope she comes back next year - "Idol" could use a woman with her edginess.
