Lulu rocks!!!
Lulu performs her big U.S. hit "To Sir, With Love." First off... WOW!!!! She looks beautiful - would have looked better as a dress, but that probably wouldn't be her style. The song is not familiar to me, but I love her voice and after last night, I doubt I would dislike anything she did - she was just so great with the girls. She's awesome. I have to say, I wasn't looking forward to the British Invasion week at all, but both Lulu and Peter Noone were so fantastic. I'd love to see if Jennifer Lopez and the others can top it.

My wife and I listened to Lulu. Not impressed at all..... she's not as strong a singer as she once was. She was trying to update the song, which was ok, but..... for those of us who grew up during the British Invasion, it just wasn't the same, nor did we expect it to be.....
however....
Peter Noone was wonderful.
Thanks for the wave Peter!!

Don't agree - sorry. I grew up in the 60s. I think that she blew away the contestants. She showed them what a professional presence on stage is really about -

I agree. Lulu's performance was awesome. I was blown away by her voice, performance, and professionalism. Her voice has matured since I last heard it. It's not as clean or pure as when she was 19, but it has acquired that cool whiskey tone and she's adapted her vocal arrangements to accommodate it. And she looks way better now at 57 than she did at 19.

I agree, Lulu rocked the house!
Be sure to see her on PBS' British Invasion reunion show, where she can be seen doing a more faithful-to-the-original version that is also terrific. (Check out all of 'em over at Youtube by looking for "To Sir With Love"...)
I dare say she's made a true comeback, nearly 40 years on!
