Someone wake me from this nightmare
The final cut...
Sanjaya Malakar and Sundance Head are the last two left and I'm praying that Sanjaya goes home.
But he doesn't. I feel like I'm in some kind of alternate universe. I mean, Sundance wasn't great last night, but c'mon... Sanjaya has sucked for three straight weeks now. If this blog wasn't part of my job, I'd stop watching after tonight. That's how completely disgusted I am right now.

I am originally from India. I am ashamed if people are just voting because Sanajaya is of Indian origin. PLS PLS stop voting for Sanjaya, he just has zero star quality.
It would be a absolute pity to see him progress any further at the cost of a good performer. This is ridiculous. IT IS A TALENT SHOW, AND HAS NOTHING WHATSOEVER TO DO WITH WHERE HE IS FROM. HE SIMPLY SUCKS AND VOTING SHOULD REVEAL THAT.

As much as I loved his audition Sanjaya has not lived up to his potential...America got it wrong when AJ got voted off and they got it wrong again last night when Sundance got voted off...I only hope Sanjaya can prove us wrong but he's got ALOT of work to do!!!

Sanajaya is horrific, how he even got on the show is unreal. Lets be honest, Sundance wasnt amazing last night but he was way better than Sanjaya. But look at it for what it is, America voted off Daughtry and he has done better than most of them.
So lets hope sundance continues on his journey. I just think that it seems like a joke that he can go through when he is nothing more than a Michael Jackson wanna be. The kid is no where near the talen of sundance!

I hope when the going gets desparate and there is a lot of money in promotions for American Idol, hope the people who produce the show over rule the voting and pay the kid to leave. Can you imagine that kid being the next American Idol because of a large voting block. Why in the day of having fake caller id and internet calling can't the votes be manipulated? Not saying they are but why not.

As an Indian citizen, I feel ashamed that Sanjay is still in, he is one of the most pathetic singers I have ever heard. He even does not know he has to hold microphone close to his mouth. I don't feel bad for Sundance but I do feel bad for AJ, guy who was eliminated by Sanjay in previous round.

As i said before in previous comment my I don't like Sanjay, my wife just want to have negative voting to get rid of Sanjay(she is Indian also). I just want to say that I don't think Sanjay is in there because of Indian vote, there are not enough Indians to influence vots. Unless they are voting from India.

This anti-Sanjaya frenzy is kind of ridiculous. He is not great but this negative attention from the judges and the blogs will only help him be 'remembered'. No Publicity is 'Bad' publicity. He was not good but were the others that much better? I dont think so. Sundance put in a pretty weak performance and so did Phil. I dont think Sanjaya is at the bottom of the list yet. Having him at the end with Sundance made it more dramatic TV than putting him against Jared. If he picks his song - maybe Michael Jackson, he will be ahead of Haley and Phil. His vocals are soft but never out of tune or 'pitchy'. Plus now he will start getting the 'feel sorry' vote. I predict he will be there for another three rounds.

Votefortheworst.com was pushing for Sundance & Antonella, and they both went home despite the efforts of that site. Maybe Sanjaya sticks around even longer now, as he is their current poster boy.
And please, it's not like shocking results NEVER happen on this show. Anyone remember when Chris Daughtry went home???? Anyone remember Kevin Covais - he stuck around MUCH longer than he should have - and many times seemed like he knew it, too.

Sanjaya is a weasel. He smiles for the camera, he cuts his hair for the camera, and plays shy for the camera. This tactic is working. It seems as if every young teenage girl in America who watches the program is voting for Sanjaya. Not on the same level as the other singers as far as talent, nevertheless, Sanjaya knows how to play to the camera. He has acting talent. I'm sure after the finals are over, he's going to stay in Hollywood and talk to agents about his future on either the TV or movie screen.

I am done with the Idol show for this year!!!Somehow the votes are being rigged in favor of Punjab and I won't support the show because of the dishonesty or corruption. Maybe next year----

Are you people listening? The only (and I mean only) time Sundance performed well is during the auditions. Had Simon not made his comment that Sundance would make it to the finals, you people wouldn't be so upset. Sundance should never have made it through Hell week. Even he admitted he stunk. If they were going to keep someone based on potential then they should have skipped Hell week. If you want to talk about potention, let's talk Bailey Brown.

I like Sanjaya, and i am not Indian. But i do like Sundance as a star quality singer, and better singer. I was dissapointed just like everybody else, but who voted for him, since everybody was like blah blah blah, he sucks and stuff, by the way i think it's not sanjaya's fault, that he's not that good and is still in the competition, there can't be THAT MUCH indian people out there, is there?

I had that same conversation with my teenage daughter a week ago. I have nothing against people from India, but by sheer numbers they could push Sanjay through to the end. They are very close-knit culture, any this could be the opportunity they take to show their support for one another (not to mention other countries with similar relations). But, if this is the case, they should consider Sanjay's feelings - because this is not fair to him! The judges are criticizing him every time he steps on stage - because, even though he has a soft sweet voice, he is not American Idol/recording artist material. If he is pushed through to the end, the american public, for whom the show is aimed, will not support him - and why subject him to that to make a point. He's a very nice person, but he should have been voted off the show long ago.
